Open Question: Transfering credits from a private school to a community college?

Hi, I live in Fort Worth,Tx. I went to school four years ago in Austin,Tx at Texas Culinary. I graduated with A.S. applied science. I'm looking to change my career to RN at TCC in town. I'm having problems with them letting me transfer my english,math,speech ect...basically my pre-eqs to the school. Is there a way I can petition my transfer credits?
